How to enroll in the CMA program: Follow These Three Steps To Get Your CMA Certification

How do I register for the Exam ?

The CMA exams are computer-based and administered at hundreds of Prometric Test Centers worldwide. With three testing windows each year, you can sit for an exam at a time and place convenient for you.

If you are enrolled in the CMA program and are ready to sit for the exam, here are the steps:

Candidates may choose to take the CMA exam in person at a Prometric Test Center (see Remote Proctoring FAQs). If you reschedule or cancel an appointment within 30 days of the scheduled date, you must pay a rescheduling charge to Prometric. The exam appointment must be canceled 72 hours (3 days) before the exam date, based on the policy from Prometric.
Appointments cannot be rescheduled to another further testing window.

Tips from our instructor on strategic approaches to answering CMA exam questions effectively

The trainer will discuss an efficient method for handling multiple-choice questions (MCQs), particularly in tests like the CMA. Many of you might discover that MCQs frequently include a ton of material, some of which might not even be pertinent to the topic at hand. This might be perplexing and a waste of time.

The "Read From Down" Strategy

The core idea here is to start by reading the actual question at the end of the information provided, before diving into the choices or even the additional information given at the beginning. Here’s how it works:

Why This Strategy Works

The trainer strongly recommends practicing this strategy while doing your practice papers and mock exams. The more you practice, the more natural it will become, and the better you’ll perform in the actual exam.

The "Review Incomplete" Strategy

The idea here is to go through the 100 MCQs in stages, prioritizing them based on difficulty. But instead of flagging questions, we’ll make use of the “Review Incomplete” feature.

First Stage: Easy Questions

Second Stage: Medium Difficulty Questions

Third Stage: Tough Questions

Additional Tips for Success

•  First Pass: Answer questions you’re sure of.

  1. •  Second Pass: Return to those you’re unsure of and spend more time analyzing them.
  1. •  Final Review: If time allows, review all to double-check your answers.
